Popcorn
Having suffered meningitis as a puppy, Popcorn opened Candice's eyes to the animal care profession. Shortly after, A fateful evening walk brought them face to face with a dying cat run over by a speeding car, cementing Candice's resolve to enter the world of veterinary medicine. Later in life, Popcorn succumbed to Wobbler's Syndrome and was laid to rest at 12 in 2011.

Chubby Chew
Chubby Chew had a lovely mom, who unfortunately had to move oversea when Chubby Chew was 16 years old. He had already been diagnosed with chronic renal disease with the occasional bouts of pyelonephritis. His diabetes mellitus, which was in remission, started to resurface during this stressful period. His mom couldn't imagine how he would cope if he had to stay in quarantine for one month. Candice took him in, and they enjoyed 4 years of companionship. In the winter of 2018, Chubby Chew was laid to rest just a few days before his 20th birthday from kidney failure.

Doctor
Doctor is Candice’s true first dog. They go everywhere together whenever possible. Doctor’s good looks and calm demeanour earn him entry into many a shopping establishments. Unfortunately, Doctor was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy in 2021, and he is gradually losing the use of his legs. Despite his disability, Doctor never complains and uses his smarts to figure out how to get around obstacles in and around the house. Daily we are amazed by how he handles his ailing body with grace and acceptance. We know that one day, we will have to say goodbye, so we cherish every moment together.
